Venice Lido Bike Tour

Great day out - refreshing to escape the bustle of Venice for a few hours and see 'the other side' of the Lagoon. Very well run, good commentary and easy pace. Recommended.

Family of four , kids aged 10/11 really enjoyable ride around the Venice lido . Peaceful lovely views easy cycling on good quality bikes with an excellent tour guide Marcos , stopped for a coffee halfway round aswell ! Would recommend it and we are planning another city cycle tour for our next holiday.Thanks for a lovely trip !

When the hustle, and crowds, and even more crowds finally get to you in Venice then this is the excursion for you. During our last visit to Venice we did not have enough time to visit Lido but this time it was on our Must do list. We stumbled upon this excursion on Viator. Knowing how much we enjoyed ourselves on our bike tour of the Appian Way we said this was the tour for us. And we had a great time. We met at Tronchetto which is easy to get to from almost anywhere. Our guide and owner Marco arrived on time with the bikes and we boarded the ferry to Lido. The ferry ride is not included in the cost of the tour but it was covered by our Venice Unica City Pass. The ferry ride to Lido gave us spectacular and unencumbered views of the water side of St. Marks Square, the Doges Palace and other great scenery. The bike ride itself was a great way to see a lot of the island and get a bit exercise a bit at the same time. We are both 50 and not exactly fit but we had no trouble keeping up with Marcos moderate place. We stopped many times along the way as Marco explained certain points of interest and the sustainability of the lagoon and eco-system. I think the lecture could use some work but for a start-up company the tour was very good. The entire route was 16 km and lasted about 4.5 hours. Well worth the money! 9 of us went on this bike tour the day after my 60th birthday. We had spend a fantastic week-end in Venice and planned to end our trip with this tour. We got off the people carrier and were met by Marco and his dad with a van and bikes. Marko was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable throughout our 5 hour trip. We stopped often and Marko gave us interesting information about the island and it's landmarks. The ride was easy and great fun. So good to cycle along the Lido Island and see a different side to Venice. I would thoroughly recommend this tour. Thank you so much

This was a great tour. Going out to Lido was a wonderful way to get away from the masses of tourists on San Marco island and see a very beautiful part of Venice that many don't get to see. Our guide was informative and Lido Island is full of wonderful little treasures and interesting facts. If we go back to Venice we would seriously consider staying on Lido Island over other locations. The tour was wonderful value for money.
