Overview

Experience Venice in the most Venetian way possible: via a shared gondola ride while being serenaded. Choose between an afternoon or evening ride and then hop on the six-person gondola by a gondolier who is clad in traditional garb. Then begin the ride, as part of a group of eight different gondolas, with a singer aboard one of the boats. In addition to the song being sun to you, enjoy the sites of Venice's main landmarks, including the grand Canal and Palazzo Barberino.
  • Ride on a six-passenger gondola along parts of the Grand Canal and smaller waterways

Gondola Station - Santa Maria del Giglio , Campiello Traghetto, 30124 Venezia VE, Italy

Meeting point: S. Maria del Giglio Gondola Station

This activity will end right where it started.
You can walk around Venice. You could take a water taxi. But, really, there's only one way to get around La Serenissima, as this city of bridges and canals is nicknamed. And that way is by gondola. Decide to take one of four starting times when you book and then, on the day of the ride, head to the gondola pier at Piazza Santa Maria del Giglio in the center of Venice.

After your arrival, hop on the shared six-seater gondola and sit back and let to your gondolier, clad in traditional clothing, cruise you through the wide and narrow, popular and offbeat canals through Venice. Each gondola holds six people and you will be part of a flotilla of eight gondolas floating together. See the city's main landmarks, including the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Grand Canal and various centuries-old palaces.

At one point during the ride, a singer will board one of the boats and begin crooning traditional Venetian tunes as you float along the canals. Sit back and let your ears take in the gorgeous songs and lose yourself in the sound and the look of Venice.

After about 35 minutes of floating through this magical city, return to the pier where your gondola ride finishes.

Excellent gondola experience!

Excellent experience! The serenade was awesome, we were all singing along. All of the gondola operators were friendly and it was so amazing to watch them navigate the canals. Highly recommend!

Be aware of this!

We thought there was a singer in our gondola, but not! You go in a gondola group of 5 or 6, they stop in the middle of the grand canal and then one singer in a different gondola sings, then they go around only for one small canal and that’s all! The description on the website should have said that specifically!

The Ride was barely 15-20...

The Ride was barely 15-20 minutes long . Not worth the money . It was said to be for 30 minutes. So not so happy.

Bad experience - did not get what we paid for and drunk gondolier
Anastasia_A
, Jun 2022
We booked and paid for a 30 min gondola ride with serenade. Our ride was less than 20 min without a serenade and our gondolier was completely drunk.

Save your money

If you just want a gondola ride go with cheaper option. Not worth the price. There was no individual serenade. You are in a group of gondolas that travel as a pack around two canals. Most the time was spent floating in the Grand Canal waiting for the rest of the group to catch up. One gondola about 4 behind us had one man who occasionally sang. It was much more expensive through this site than people who walked up and paid cash.

Excellent experience!

Our gondolier was wonderful, from a long line of gondoliers. Loved hearing about his grandfather, father, himself and his son, carrying on this beautiful tradition! A must do in Venice!

We were unable to meet the arranged time and weren’t able to change it or get a refund. Avoid this kind of booking

Nice Gondola Experience
Bailey_G
, Jun 2022
The experience was very nice. The gondola left on time and the ride lasted a full 30 minutes. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to book a ride with a serenade but I’m very glad I did. The singer had a great voice and the music really elevated the experience.

Total scam

The directions did not specify that a ferry had to be taken to that side of town. We arrived a few minutes late and missed the gondola ride. The attendant did not want to honor our reservation so we were not able to ride the gondola.

Misrepresented!
Sandra_M
, Jun 2022
You should make it clear that the Gondolas go out as a flotilla of 6 or 7. You are not with a singer or musician. Most of the gondolas have neither and at times we couldn’t t hear the music. It feels like a giant traffic jam with other unaffiliated gondolas horning in to get close to the music. I think it would have been much better to be a solo gondola with no music or recording to spoil the magic of Venice.

Take a 1 hour water taxi tour instead
Joseph_M
, Jun 2022
I would not recommend this gondola company. When we arrived the person that spoke to us was not very welcoming and just pointed and said “get in line”. It was supposed to be a 45 min tour and it was more like 25 minutes

This was supposed to be a serenade and a gondola ride and there was no serenade. I paid extra for a serenade.

SECOND TIME FOR US
bpraschofield
, Jun 2022
This is the second time we have done this evening serenade ride and both times the organisation at the meeting point has been quite chaotic and not the friendliest, including our gondalier sadly, but once you are seated in the gondola, we love the atmosphere and the serenade as you ride along the canals. The singer was again, located in another gondola quite a bit ahead of us but you can still hear the singing and enjoy the ride. The ride starts on The Grand Canal then takes a right turn into a side canal, which then leads back to the starting point in 30 minutes. We shared our gondola with 3 guys, who were fun and added to the experience.

Almost magical
Aisling_M
, Jun 2022
A very cool experience but very short, would be amazing if it was at least 15mins longer. If you aren't in the gondola with the singer and guitarist there can be times were you cannot hear the music if you aren't kept close by.

UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOT FOR LAS VEGAS (VENETIAN) BUT FOR ITALY.
Kevin_M
, May 2022
I WANT MY MONEY BACK + the $30 of cab fare. Me/wife planned a special trip to Vegas. One of the stops we wanted to experience was to ride the boat at the Venetian. Embarrassing so, it never happened. The lady at the counter said it was for a boat ride in Venice and said it was a scam. She said several people have had something similar. We held the line up (embarrassing) for about 45 mins trying to figure it out and inventially had to leave. So we spent $30 ($121 total/ $81+ $30) to get there and back for nothing. I am very disgruntled. I even tried calling you guys headquarters in Las Vegas and the animated voice was a joke as I wasn't able to speak to a live person to assist me. Please contact me. (586)422- 6846. I really would like to be refunded.

Wouldn’t recommend
McKenzie_F
, May 2022
The gondola ride was alright. The view was beautiful and the time of day was perfect. However, the ride started over 15 minutes late and was cut short. Additionally, the group was split into 2 gondolas and only the other group had the serenade on board. We could sometimes hear the music from our boat, but the gondola operators were screaming at each other for a majority of the ride and it wasn’t possible to hear the music from the other boat. I think the tour title is a bit misleading for this reason. Overall, I would recommend just booking a gondola ride directly once you get to Venice.

Not reliable, not organized
Sami_M
, May 2022
They let us book this trip for 7:30 PM when there are no gondola is leaving at 7:30 PM for a serenade. Once we showed up we realize there was nobody there and had to book something else on the spot without a serenade. Kind of disappointing as this was our honeymoon

Nice ride, too many boats
Joshua_H
, May 2022
Nice gondola ride, and the singer was very talented. The group was 5 boats, and we were kind of far from the singer, so we didn’t hear him very well.
