The tour will end in Piazzale Roma - Venice.

Venice is hard to say goodbye to – even for the day – but the Dolomites may help you forget about it for a few hours. After meeting your driver-guide, hop in your comfortable minivan and head north through the rustic Northern Italian landscape.

The first stop is the ski resort town of Cortina d'Ampezzo. Take some free time here to go shopping in the chic boutiques, enjoy a coffee and dessert at a cafe or just explore the town before heading to your next stop.

Arrive at Lake Misurina, or the 'Pearl of the Dolomites,' as it is sometimes called. The lake is especially picturesque with the Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the background, three distinctive peaks that tower in the distance and one of the most well-known mountain groups in the Alps. Drive toward the peaks and stop to get an amazing view.

Later, sit down at a local trattoria for a traditional Dolomite lunch (at own expense) and then take some free time to go on a stroll around the lake. Or, if you'd rather rest your legs, continue relaxing at the restaurant.

Meet up with your driver-guide at the set time and begin your journey back, arriving in Venice in the early evening.

Please note: From November 15th until Tre Cime di Lavaredo reopens (around the third week of May) this tour will visit Braies Lake and San Candido, located on the border of Austria) instead of Lake Misurina and Tre Cime di Lavaredo. From November 23rd to January 6th you'll also visit the San Candido Christmas Market.

    An excellent tour!

    , Jul 2022
This was an excellent tour. One of the highlights of our entire trip. The driver Marco was very friendly, knowledgeable and looked after everyone’s needs. He Dolomites are something that truely needs to be experienced. Wow is an understatement.

    Skies were mainly sunny...

Skies were mainly sunny for most of the trip. The temperatures were a lot more pleasant. Unlike Venice, there was virtually no haze, which made our pictures look better. Definitely worth going.

The sights and the pictures are truly amazing. I loved seeing the place where scenes of the James Bond movie, For Your Eyes Only, were filmed. The food at Lake Misurina was delicious.

    Gorgeous...but not informative.

The mountains are glorious and the views spectacular. However, we rode in a 9 passenger van and because a single woman sat up front with the driver the other couples were always split because of the remaining 3x3 seating. In addition, the driver seemed focused on talking to her and the rest of us were left out of the conversation. When you get Mizurina TAKE THE CHAIRLIFT TO THE TOP! The views from up there are incredible. I also wish we'd had a little less time at the first lake (which was covered with algae) and a little more at the last one - which was an incredible shade of blue.

Breathtaking views away from the crowds

I had a wonderful time on this excursion getting to know the other travelers and learning about the area from our guide Marco. Marco was knowledgeable, interactive, and funny. The Dolomites did not disappoint and I could not have asked for a better escape from the crowds. I will defiantly be traveling back to the Dolomites for a hiking trip in the future!

Aside to the amazing scenery our guide was great. He was intuitive and told stories that were interesting and in the right amount. A good guide recognizes when to let the view speak for itself… I enjoy the day very much. Recommended. Thank you!

    Breathtakingly Beautiful Escape
    Jennifer_L
    , Jun 2022
I had been aching to visit the Dolomites for many years now and not only did this experience finally give me the opportunity but it made it worth the wait. The small group size makes it excellent for solo travelers (like me) and couples too, and the experience itself more cozy and friendly. Marco the tour guide was a warm, humorous, kind, and attentive leader. The way he would always cheerfully say "the best is yet to come!" was charming but mostly a perfect way to get us all excited for the next breathtakingly beautiful vista, which just kept coming one after another the whole day. Majestic snow-capped peaks even in the middle of June, rolling meadows bursting with wildflowers, rustic alpine chalets, and lakes such a magical shade of teal-blue it's almost hard to believe it's not from a fairy tale book's illustration. If you're looking for a romantic or relaxing, off the beaten path, escape from the heat and crowds of summertime Venice into the untouched mountainscapes of far northern Italy, then I highly recommend this excursion.

Best day of our week and a half trip!
    Ingrid_K
    , Jun 2022
We had the most wonderful time in the Dolomites! Our driver was fabulous. He was such a friendly and kind guy. My son that has high functioning autism talked the whole way with him and sat in the front seat for fabulous views. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip. We had a great meal and took two different walks around 2 different lakes. We stopped for some shopping and ice cream as well.

    Perfect day trip from Venice
    RosePeniel_B
    , May 2022
Seeing the dolomites was on my bucketlist and this day trip from Venice has met all our expectations.. our tour guide, Marco is very nice and gave all the info about the dolomites and the tour. We had a lot of stops on the way for photos. May favorite part was the Dolomites itself and the lake Antorno. Although it was raining a lot during our trip, this didnt hinder us from appreciating the beauty of the Dolomites. We had our lunch at Lake Misurina where you can also buy some souvenirs. Overall, I highly recommend this day tour if you are visiting Venice for a different atmosphere and away from the city’s hustle & bustle.

    Too Rushed…Not worth it
    Paul_V
    , May 2022
I was very much looking forward to this trip, but was disappointed. It was very rushed, and not what I had anticipated it to be. I was expecting to spend an hour or two in a few locations, but we only stayed an hour in 1 location, 30 minutes in another, and about 5-10 in 1 more. It was supposed to be 4 long stops. I’d save the money here, and take your own trip to this location on your own.

Dear Client, Thank you for your feedback on the tour. I'm very surprised by your comment as we've been oprating this tour for many many years and collected nice feedbacks in regards to the itinerary, the pace and variety of the tour. If we spent 2 hours in each location, then you'd see very little considering also the time needed to reach the dolomites and the return journey back to Venice and I'm sure we would receive complaints from those willing to see more different scenarios offered by the beautiful mountain range. I'm always more convinced that it's impossible to please everybody on shared experiences and I invite those who have in mind their own idea of experience to confrontate with the operator prior to booking. Kindest Regards, Monica

Marco was great, but the tour isn’t really worth it. Save your money and spend it doing something more worthwhile in Venice. The places the tour takes you to are really nothing to rave about.

Dear Client, Thnak you for your feedback and I'm glad that you found our driver/ tour escort competent and professional. Generally people enjoy the spectacular dolomites mountains, offering incredible scenery and mountains villages life. Maybe the weather did not cooperate when you took the tour and I can' t say anything more about your comment as it is a personal point of view you are giving. We've been operating this tour for many years and many have posted raving reviews about this tour and the locations covered . Kind Regards, Monica
