Packed adventurous day
, May 2022
Fantastic, full packed day. Barbarossa team picked us up close to our apartment and were then taken to a private boat for the trip to Gozo. When we arrived we were allocated a Driver and Jeep (George for us) and had a personal tour of Gozo. Little hair raising at times, perched on the back of the Jeep, so not for the nervous passenger! Lunch was 3 course fixed menu including wine - local food, delicious. We then boarded the boat that took us around Comino - offered unlimited local wine (probably not recommended) and water (plus small payable bar for other drinks) First stop, Crystal Lagoon, opportunity to swim, and visit the grottos (extra 5 Euros) water cold but beautiful. Next stop the Blue Lagoon, again plenty of time to swim, sunbathe and enjoy an ice cream courtesy of the ice cream boat. Then short boat trip back to Malta, and bus home! Long, full day 8.30am til 6pm. Thank you Barbarossa Team, brilliant day and excellent value for money.

Amazing! Really enjoyed the trip with enough time to swim around en swim with the fish as well. A special day.
Good Day
, Apr 2022
Unfortunately due to weather we couldn’t do the cruise and had the all day safari which was well organised and our guide was lovely and very attentive. Unfortunately the transfers to and from our location was a lot to be desired, very poor quality of vehicles to the point of 2 breaking down on our return, something that needs looked at as the driver advised this was a regular occurrence for this company. But all in all a good experience and would recommend.
Great experience really friendly guides

All very well organised our guide Grace was brilliant on time for pick up and knew lots about the island Lunch was very good The only thing is the jeeps are over crowded personally i would welcome paying more and less in a jeep Boat trip really good with just the right amount of time for swimming at the first stop maybe second stop reduce to 30 mins Wine not the best 😂
Good day

We had a good experience with the boat crew, a fantastic Jeep driver who made the Gozo experience special, a delicious lunch, relaxing float in the beautiful Mediterranean, and plenty of free wine! The boat was a bit overcrowded, and the transportation to and from the boat was not a good experience. The driver was in a hurry and drove too fast, only to drop us off 1-1/2 hours before we could board the boat. Same reckless driving back to Valletta afterwards.

Good 1 day experience for short stay in Malta
, Aug 2021
This tour was the highlight of our trip! We got a coach to the docks, on a boat to Gozo, jeep around Gozo, boat to Comino (2 locations including Blue Lagoon) and then boat back to Malta where we were driven back to our individual hotels. The food was filling and fresh (3 courses; tomato pasta, chicken thighs + potato, watermelon dessert) we don’t eat meat so they offered us omlettes which was very nice. The jeep was small and they put 6 people at the back of each - we were lucky to have been 2 couples and others were groups/families. We stopped to see a few sites and take pictures. The boat to comino docked in the middle of water and tourists were free to climb or dive in, free pool noodles were provided and scuba equipment for a deposit of €20. Plenty of water and wine free of charge, watermelon on the boat also. On the way there, our coach broke down and there was poor communication from the guide to the group of tourists, the coach was also very old. However, we waited 20-30mins and received a newer coach with A/C (blessing in disguise?). The tour lasted longer than 6.5 hours (no complaints) - pick up from 8:30pm, returned by 6:30-7:00pm Viator-Tour guide communication is usually good and quick during the week but not over the weekend. We were told that pick up from our hotel (Hyatt Regency) was not on the list and to go to the nearest (Intercontinental) which was around the corner, not convenient especially as it is an early start. Our trip was originally booked for Tuesday but we were asked to move it to Monday (maybe due to lack of bookings?). This was fine and better for us however can be a hassle if you have planned your trip/itinerary strictly. A few issues: the booking/ticket said 10am but I was lucky to check the reviews and Barbarossa Excursions (tour company) website to find out ferry departure is at approx. 9:45am. We had to call on the day of our tour at 7:30am (opening time) as they are not open on sunday and we arrived in Malta after their closing time on saturday. At 7:30 we were told we will be picked up at 8:30am, which meant we had to rush to get ready, have breakfast and get to the pick up point. Overall I think it was a good value for money!

Apart from the transfer to and from the hotel this was a great trip. Unfortunately the buses didn’t have air conditioning & pick up was nearly 1 hour late BUT boats, swimming, safari & lunch were all great!
Découvrez Gozo
, Jun 2021
