Amazing food, people, and culture

Rob and Federica were amazing! They were very professional, and funny with amazing service. When we got the confirmation email from Viator, it said that class starts at 4:15PM and to meet in front of the stairways at Piazza Trilussa but we were supposed to meet the group there at 4PM which was not in the email instruction provided. However, Federica was nice enough to come back out from the restaurant where we were supposed to have our class and led us to class. They let us join the class in session which was really nice of them. We were greeted with Prosecco and an appetizer. Then we started with making Fettucine, the sauce, and then gelato. Rob was the lead chef instructor and he was super knowledgeable, professional and funny. We had an amazing time there and would recommend this to anyone. We cooked in the open space at the back of this super cute restaurant then headed in to eat. The entire restaurant was closed for the class and dinner, super private and intimate.

Absolutely Fabulous!!

I'm not even sure how to capture this in words, but Denise and Rob were absolutely fabulous chefs and hosts for our Fettucine Pasta making evening. We all had so much fun and learnt so much about pasta flour, dough kneading, sauce and gelato making that my husband and I are now on Amazon buying our own equipment test run this at home in Toronto! You will absolutely love every minute of this Private Pasta Making event that you'll want to take it again in other locations as you travel. The time flew by and we were saddened to leave them and the other guests. The location of the event was spectacular - in the back of a restaurant, but outside on their patio - to comply with Covid rules. It was magical!

Great cooking experience

I had an amazing time cooking with chef Federica. I learned how to make differently shaped ravioli as well as tagliatelle and a tasty tomato and basil sauce. In addition, Federica was very kind to give me a lot of cooking tips (with explanations) on various Italian recipes and traditional foods from all over Italy. Due to covid-19 I ended up being the only person taking the class - for me this was great as I had the full attention of the chef at all times and could ask a lot of questions! Oh, and did I mention that there were a lot of appetizers and drinks included? Yup, plenty of them the whole evening. I would definitely recommend this experience :)

Had such an amazing time. Our chef was very friendly and a great teacher. Made two types of pasta. With two very different flavor profiles. Thank you for a great time

Stefano and Rafaella (our chefs for the evening) were outstanding! We had a large U.S. based group visiting Italy. Everything was well organized from the meeting point, to the walk to the event, through to enjoying dinner, plenty of wine, etc. I'd highly recommend!

HI brianpol427, Thank you for joining us in Rome for a fun-filled pasta making class. We are simply delighted to learn that you found the event to be well organized, and most importantly, that there was plenty of wine. We think that is the best recipe for a successful class! We hope that you enjoyed the rest of your trip to Rome and that you have brought your new pasta-making skills home for your friends and family. Warmest regards, The Walks Team

Fun experience

We enjoyed the small-group pasta making experience. The most hands-on part of the evening is the actually making of the pasta, which was taught to us as a step-by-step process. Drinks not quite as free-flowing as expected. The pasta-making class was actually in an apartment complex. Dessert on offer was store-bought Panetone, which while nice was a bit unexpected, after a prepared antipasto and then the made pasta.

Hi eloisew542, Thank you for your review of our Pasta Class in Rome! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed our class and had fun with our chefs. Hopefully, you will have brought home some great pasta making skills as well some great memories. Although the focus of the class is pasta making and the techniques used, our chefs do like our guests to have a little sweet treat, even if there isn't time to make it by hand. They do, however, use only the best available as they are very proud of Italian desserts! They should also have opened several bottles of vino and prosecco, as well as soft drinks for the non-drinkers so I have passed along your feedback about that. Thanks again for joining us in Rome, we hope to welcome you back again soon. The Walks Team

We had a group of six (range in age from 20 - 50) and all had a great time. Not a cook by any means but now excited to make pasta for friends and family. The instructors were great, funny, and a real pleasure. What a way to end a wonderful trip to Rome.

unfortunately got to class day late. My fault, however, was feeling that there should of been much more of an effort to accommodate us.
icon Response from Host , Nov 2019
Hello tannerjulie12, We are very sorry to hear that you missed your tour. We can imagine how stressful it was for you to try to navigate the city to make it on time. While we always go above and beyond to accommodate our guests, we must also follow our schedule so as not to inconvenience group members who might have other activities planned afterwards. However, we do know how complicated getting around might be and we invite you to get in touch with us where we can try to arrange something for you to make up for your loss of time. Warmest regards, The Walks Team
