Rita was amazing! Very friendly and professional. Good pace for walking in the heat of Rome. She shared a depth of knowledge on the Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel.

You don’t get a tour of St Peter’s 😕

This tour was a bit misleading as the heading leads you to believe you will be visiting all 3 of the places but in reality it’s just the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel…we got to St Peter’s and the guide told us that the end of the tour and recommended us go inside the church it’s really beautiful…that was when we all realized it wasn’t part of the tour. For the price it wasn’t worth it in my opinion; I booked the early option to beat the crowds and heat…However, that was not the case. I did still go into St Peter’s but would have definitely save my money and chose a different tour. The tour guide herself was fine but this was definitely my least favorite tour.

Not as advertised

Not as advertised. The tour through the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel were okay. There was NO TOUR through St. Peter Basilica. They drop you off in the square outside the basilica. You'd have to wait in line for security with the general public and access is free anyway so this was disappointing. We thought we'd get some facts and details about the basilica on the tour, but there was nothing. The guide was knowledgeable.

Experienced Tour Guide, but did not actually skip the queues

Positives: we had a girl for our tour guide who was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about Italian history. We were brought through some of the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel, which were all amazing. Negatives: we did not "skip the line". The first stop we had was the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel, when we got there the line was apparently much smaller than usual (probably due to covid), so we joined with the rest of the tourists and waited a few minutes. Then later, we went to St. Peter's Basilica which had quite a large line of people, and we queued up with everyone else. I asked the guide why we couldn't skip and they said they stopped allowing that. In my opinion, the tour name should be changed and the price should be adjusted to reflect these changes, I found this disappointing. As well as this, the tour guide left us at the doors of St. Peter's Basilica and ended the tour there, so we did not actually get a guided tour of the Basilica which I was quite surprised by. Also, even though our tour guide was very knowledgeable, she was not loud enough when speaking. A lot of the time my girlfriend and I could not hear what she was saying (admittedly we did not say this to her, so this is just feedback for the future).

Good and knowledgeable tour guide, but we paid for a 3 hour tour and got a 2.5 hour one. I understand that this was because the Basilica isn't allowing guided tours right now, but we could have spent that extra half hour inside the museums instead. We didn't see the Laocoon, barely walked inside the Egyptian Museum, and were not given time in the gift shop.

Vatican & Chapel Must GO

There are no words 😶 or photos that can capture the brilliance of artistic expression seen in each ceiling or walls. It’s a small piece of history that you will never forget.
