The meeting point is under the atrium of Saint Peter's Basilica. There you will have our desk and from that location our tours will start. Visitors temperature will be measured (if a guest has a temperature above 37.5 °C, entry will be denied).

This activity will end right where it started.
Meet your guide in the heart of Vatican City to begin your walking tour of one of Rome’s most legendary landmarks. Starting in St Peter’s Square, walk over to St Peter’s Basilica, listening to stories from your guide about baroque sculptor and architect Bernini, who designed the square. Pause to check out a fountain and 13th-century Egyptian obelisk before arriving in front of the church.

Throughout the centuries, the humble church grew into the ornate icon it is today—the holiest of Roman Catholic sites. With your guide, walk around to see Renaissance art like Michelangelo’s La Pietà sculpture, as well as his cupolone—St Peter’s famous dome.

Admire mosaic works, see a statue of St Peter, visit the tomb of Pope John Paul II and stare in wonder at Bernini’s baldacchino, the elaborate canopy alter that sits above St Peter’s tomb. Your tour ends inside the basilica, where you may continue exploring independently, if you wish.

Included in your visit you will receive Vox City Guide, an audio-experiences selfguided visit of the city of Rome with audio commentary and stories from local experts. The code to download your VCG will be delivered directly to the Basilica.

Line was super long, and even though we paid fir a private tour, could not find where it started. Instructions on ticket were not clear. So we gave up. Paid for, but never got to experience. Don’t bother with this

Dear Customer, we are truly sorry for the serious inconvenience you have suffered. Could you kindly tell us the day and time of your booking? We would like to find out who was on duty that day and find out why they didn't call you when they didn't meet you at the meeting point. The instructions to reach the meeting point that we sent to Viator are as follows: "Meeting point - after passing the Police checks, head to the Basilica, go up the staircase that overlooks the Square and entrer the Portico through the central gate. Please address yourself to the white desk, placed almost opposite the Holy Door." What did you find written on your voucher? Waiting for a reply, I greet you cordially

The translated descrrption on danish was a so badly quality, that the informations was wrong and because of that we miss the guided tour. If you send a translated version to you customers, be sure that the translation is okay and not a Google translation.

Dear Customer, we are really sorry for your bad experience, but we are sure that this service is not offered by our company. The visit you are reviewing on is a visit with St. Peter's Basilica official guides, it is not an audio guide. Among our services we obviously also have the audio guided tour, but among the 10 languages available, we do not have Danish. We therefore ask you to delete this negative review and we look forward to meet you at St. Peter's Basilica to test our audio guides. Regards

Spend the day

Just plan on a whole day… Get the earliest Tori you can and stay until lunch. Go out for lunch and then go to the museums. Or, start at the museums and come back to the Basilica in the afternoon.

Good tour.

We have used Viator many times and have memorable experiences. For this tour The group size was larger than advertised which really didn’t make a difference. Unfortunately the directions for meeting the guide were not corrected. After waiting at the meeting point for awhile, I called the contact number and was directed to the correct location. The tour itself was very good.

Amazing, engaging

This experience was amazing from start to finish. My boyfriend and I purchased tickets for a certain time (4:30 pm) not realizing that there would quite a process before getting into the basilica to meet our tour guide. We ended arriving at the stand at 5 pm and the staff was extremely patient and understanding. I was afraid we wouldn’t be able to do the tour, but they accommodated us and we’re very kind. Our tour guide, Carmela, was a talented storyteller. You could really tell she loves sharing about the history of the basilica with guests, and her passion made the experience all the more engaging. We were so engaged that we wished we had booked a longer tour by the end of it! 10/10 recommend

Pretty church, bad guide. We could barely hear her and her English was bad. The church was nice, I would recommend to climb to the top for the view.
