It was one of the best tours I’ve ever been on in my life, pick up was super easy and the driver was amazing about giving tips and tricks, when we arrived at Versailles we met with our tour guide Francesco, who was amazing. The day before our tour they changed the time and pick up location. After several emails , messages and calls throughout the entire day it finally was agreed upon they would pick us up I must say it honestly ruined my entire day. We had planned early and this was such a stress. Then we were picked up in the morning. After arriving at the site the tour guide was very nice but too nice. He allowed waiting for people who only 1 in five arrived so more time was given. Therefore 30 minutes of our 3 hours was gone. We then get another tour guide at entry who also was too nice. She had us wait 15 minutes for another couple to join us. As we begin our tour 1 hour after arrival we had about 30 people in our group of which one couple asked her to repeat and explain constantly which she did gladly but again too nice time constantly lost for all the others. They asked her very basic question like explain what is velvet when she brought us through the velvet wallpaper room. I have 7 tour with Viator. Most had little hiccups but this was an expensive tour to lose so much time and money. I will be following up once we arrive home.

Overall was a great tour and super convenient having the driver pick us up at the hotel. My only complaint was that they moved the pickup time back half an hour but left the return time the same, and out tour didnt start until 35 mins after we got there, so we lost over an hour of time there. Guide (Barbara) was excellent, told the history of the palace in relatable terms, kept it interesting for everyone.

Driver did not introduce himself or speak during journey. Had to wait 15 minutes at Verseilles for guide to arrive with other tourists. I thought we would be a small group, as we travelled as a group of 5 not the 30 that took part.

Pickup from our hotel is very straightforward. We are a very crowd of 4 people and the driver. Once we got to Versailles, we met our guide. She is pretty intense and I admire her passion. Everything pretty smooth-sailing. The live commentary is just enough for me. I wasn't overwhelmed. This is not my first visit to the chateau. She kept my attention. I am not known for a long attention span. Great job there!

Palace was beautiful but Viator could have ensured that we had a lunch available instead of waiting in a long line & missing most of time available for the Gardens. And should have arranged a pick up at our hotel. We were the only ones in the group who were NOT picked up at our hotel! Also would have been helpful to be escorted to the Gardens.

The friendly local driver picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off a hundred meters or so from the front gate of Versailles where our friendly local tour guide met us. We skipped the ticket line, went through security and were on our way. We toured inside Versailles with the tour guide and the gardens on our own. The driver and the tour guide were both very friendly and really enjoyed sharing their knowledge with our family. It was like spending a day with friends. The tour guide made the tour interesting and fund for all ages. Would I do it again? Without a doubt.
