Guide was 20 minutes late to a 4pm time, with the museum closing at 6. Never asked our interest or level of art knowledge. He was very nice but had no interest in tailoring our visit to our desire. Talked at length and would not shorten his speeches to allow for more viewing. We hired a very expensive private guide to see unique things, not his interpretation of what we should know about the lengthy history of art. Again nice man with a soft voice who focused on the man of the family. Not the private tour we were hoping. Could have seen more alone and without his holding us back.

The bits of history about the building itself, and about the art (of course), we’re interesting and kept us engaged. None of the 4 in our group are huge art museum fans, but we wanted to see the Louvre and this was a great way to do it. Plus the skip the line was KEY!!!!

Chistophe was incredible. Great communication before we met and was prompt at the exact time. Extremely knowledgeable about all of the exhibits and gave us great information throughout the tour. The "beat the line" option definitely was worth the price of admission alone (the line was huge). Would highly encourage this tour and Chrisophe to anyone who is looking to get into the Louvre.

This is not a private tour, nor is it tailored. We were placed with another family, and there was no option to detour or linger based on preferences. Our tour guide was friendly but was sick and had a feeble voice as a result - hard to hear and not all that informative. I ended up getting sick with the same the next day as did my daughter. I tried reaching Viator several times regarding my concerns and they did not respond - I guess once they have your money that’s that! I would not recommend - we would have been better off with only the skip the line tickets available at the Louvre’s site and renting headsets to tour by ourselves.

Our guide was prompt and helpful. The place is way overcrowded and she guided us past the crowds and past the people taking selfies so that we could get close to the paintings and discuss them. It's a short tour, but worth the price to skip the queues.

David was prompt and met us outside the Louvre. Evidently tour guides used to be able to take tours through a separate entrance but we had to wait in line which was not a big deal despite having the skip the line tickets due to a change in policy. No big deal as it moved quickly. Once in David led us to all highlights at our request. He is unbelievably knowledgeable and has spent a great amount of time studying at the Louvre. The level of detail was incredible. He knew exactly what angle to take photos from and took some fantastic ones of us as well. David moves swiftly but made sure that it was acceptable to us as there is a lot of ground to cover. We would highly recommend this tour and David specifically to anyone who wants to see the highlights or specific things without the hassle of trying to navigate the large space on their own.

Boring and Interesting at the same time

Our guide Petr arrived promptly. He spoke daily good English but we could definitely tell it was somewhat of a struggle. He was kind of funny and at times, I could not tell if he was being funny or somewhat sarcastic which would translate to rude in America. I also observed that he was very passionate about the history of each sculpture and painting but was long winded and somewhat dry in his presentation. He skipped the Egyptian exhibit but encouraged us to go back and explore after our guided tour was completed. After a long day for my group, one lady felt light headed and wanted to exit but he wasn’t the most accommodating. The entire group decided to exit the Louvre after the Mono Lisa but he appeared agitated that we decided not to complete the guided tour. I would highly recommend a guided tour but I would request a different, more interesting guide that was better versed in the English Language if that’s your first Language.

The beauty of the museum and the architecture of the building and of course the paintings/sculptures. However our tour guide did NOT use the earphone and we could hardly hear what he was saying.. constantly straining to understand him. When I asked why no headphones he said sense it was a small group (6) he didn’t think we needed them. I disagree!!!!!!! I paid to hear a tour guide and I didn’t snd it basically ruined the tour!!!!!

Tour guide did not show up ever

Hi, you tour guide did not show up at meeting point at time of tour need to be started. We arrived to the meeting point 10 minutes prior the tour start as required at booking voucher, asked everyone who is our tour guide, eventually one guide call to supposed our guide and he told him he will not arrive. We continue to wait 20 more minutes then no choice leaved. I wrote to your help support email about that issue- still no response. I tried to call by phone provided at your website- both numbers are invalid. +33 17866005956 And +33 17866005956. I ask for full refund. Thanks
