Great class, funny host, yummy food!

This was a really lovely way to end our trip in Naples! After a week of eating the world's best pizza, my friend and I thought it would be fun to learn to make it ourselves so we could try and re-create it at home. This was the perfect class! There were just eight of us there, so it was easy to get to know people and didn't take too long. The host was so friendly and the restaurant chefs were so talented as well! And not to mention - the pizza was SO delicious! They even took plenty of pictures of us since our hands were busy kneading the dough and sent all the photos to us afterwards with the pizza recipe recap. Lovely evening!

A great pizza making experience

This is really good fun. It was a small group (there were 8 including us a family of 4). Dario was excellent as our host and pizza making tutor/guru - very approachable with a relaxed style and did a great job of setting everyone at ease. You get to make your own dough which was somewhat therapeutic! It’s then over to the Head Chef - Antonio - with dough that was prepared 24 hours in advance for you to put the tomato base and toppings on then you get to put it in the oven. Result a delicious pizza for lunch! Dario followed up with photos. Thoroughly enjoyable experience in the pizza making centre of the universe - Naples!

My husband and I had such a great time making the classic Neapolitan pizza! We learned all about how to knead the bread in the right way to create the perfect base for our pizza. Luca also gave us a great history lesson on why it is made the way it is. (Margherita vs Marinara). We were able to put sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese on our pizzas and got to put it in the wood fired oven ourselves. After it was ready, we got to eat our pizza and have a complimentary drink! The only thing I would say is that I wish it wasn't so busy in the restaurant when we were making our pizza. The staff seemed annoyed that we were there and we were definitely in a lot of people's way. We thought this pizza making class was private and we got to meet with an actual chef of a restaurant but it was in a very busy restaurant and we had a hired tour guide. Overall, it was fun though!

Hi there, thank you for your support. It is worth noting that we do not offer a private experience on its own but you can surely request it and we can try to arrange it. Part of the experience is about experiencing the living life of the pizzeria, even if it can get a bit busy because it is an active restaurant and we can't prevent people to come, we still guarantee fun, small group activity during "dead" hours. That is why is very hard to experience a busy place and unfortunately it appears it happened to be slightly busy for a few minutes. We are sorry to hear you felt the staff being annoyed because of you but trust us, that is not the case at all! It is a friendly environment with authentic Neapolitans. As clearly written on the page of the experience, we think that it is a big plus having someone very knowledgeable explaining all the processes and a real pizzaiolo (in this case a master of Pizza so indeed a chef) looking after you. Glad you had a great time with us!

I’m one of the biggest pizza fans imaginable, and getting the opportunity to make pizza where it was born was a dream. Except it somehow exceeded all of my expectations! Luca is perhaps the best person I met in all of Italy, because not only was he an amazing instructor, but he showed everyone individual care and had so much fun with everyone. I highly recommend this pizza making experience. Our “guides”, Dario and Luca, made making pizza so much fun for our entire family (myself, my husband, our 18 year old son, our 14 year old daughter and our 9 year old daughter). They had all of us laughing the entire time and were such great hosts with such friendly personalities. Everyone learned so much about how to make pizza just like they make in Naples. We can’t wait to recreate the recipe they sent us when we get home. They also took a bunch of photos of our pizza making experience so we can remember it for years to come. If you are going to do one tour/experience while in Naples, I would do this one. Plus, you get to eat your delicious pizza at the end of the experience.
