Best Way to Experience It All!
    , Nov 2019
We had a wonderful time touring the Oktoberfest fair grounds and riding the Ferris wheel (got great pictures from up there!). Then we were escorted into the Hoffbrau tent where we had our own area (wonderful to be separated from the craaaazy 20 somethings!) but we definitely had fun crazy. Dan (the man) was our guide and he made it so fun - leading us in the songs and making sure our beers were filled and chicken meals were delivered. I highly recommend this tour!!

this sounds a great experience you had at our Octoberfest Tour with Dan! Dan probably did tell you that the Octoberfest Parties can get quite addicting, so we hope tosee you at the Festival again in 2020!
    Fun for First Visit
    , Oct 2019
We did this tour on Friday of closing weekend. When we check in, we were given two drink tickets, one half chicken ticket, and one ferris wheel ticket. The tour was supposed to start at 10am, but started late because people showed up to the starting point late. The tour group was huge, so they split it between three tour guides. I want to say there was around maybe 20 people in each group. The first two hours of the tour consisted of walking to the festival grounds and then walking around the festival grounds. It was interesting hearing about the history. Plus, we got some tips on attending the festival on our own. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, however, you could tell he didn’t have much energy. He had said this was day 14 of the festival for him, as in he had been to Oktoberfest every single day since opening day. When we finally made it to the Hofrau tent after 12pm, the two other groups were already seated in our reserved seating. Our reserved seating was in a corner in the tent. The two groups who got there earlier were able to sit along the aisle in which they could see what was going on in the middle of tent when people were cheering and so forth. We, on the other hand, were literally in the corner and couldn’t see much. Our reservation was until 5pm, so basically for the next 4+ hours, if we wanted to sit, it was in the corner. Needless to say, I was not impressed with the seats. The beer and half chicken in this tent were delicious. When we ordered anything from the waitress using our tickets, we were required to give a 2 Euro tip. At 5pm sharp, a security guy stands at the entrance of our corner area and pushes everyone out a side door, no ifs, ands, or buts. So if you wanted to stay in the tent after 5pm, make sure you’re not in the corner when the security guard arrives or you will have to leave. Overall, it was our first time ever at Oktoberfest, so it was cool getting an idea about the history and getting tips on how to attend the festival on your own. Would I recommend this to other people? Probably not. It was very expensive for what you get, and if you are attending the festival with a small group or as a couple you can EASILY find seats in the middle of the tents where the action is (as long as you get there earlier in the day).

Thank you Jenna for sharing your experience on our Octoberfest Tour. I am sorry about the seating this day, but that is unfortunately out of our hands, as the beer tent is in charge of the seating on this particular day. I still hope you overall had a great experience with us, meeting new friends and getting all the ins and outs of the festival. The tour surely is a introduction tour, so that you are able to find your bearings fast so that next time, you know how to dance, sing and drink like a Munich Local :)
Checking if off my bucket list!!
    , Oct 2019
I read the pros and cons of taking a "tour" of Oktoberfest and you can check your disapproval at the door! As a person who does not travel much on their own outside of the states, this tour was perfect for us! We had reservations at the Hofbrau tent, we learned the colorful history of the event, we learned about the requirements for the beer in order to be served at this festival, our guide named off a list of some delicacies we might want to try(fish on a stick was surprisingly good), and we learned a lot just by all the questions the others in the group asked. We even tried to sing(humm) German songs! I want to give a shout out specifically to our guide, Timmy. Prost! Can you do Oktoberfest without this tour? Yes. But . . . interacting with a large group of people and feeding off of their energy and curiosity while your guide fires off answers to as many questions as he can . . . that might more fun than googling it on your phone.

Timmy and Daniel led our group. We toured the fair grounds with Tim who gave us a lot of tips and information. Had lunch and the afternoon at the Hofbrau tent which was loads of fun. The ferris wheel came with the tour and worthwhile because you could get a view of the festival grounds. Thumbs up! .
    Great fun at 2019 Oktoberfest!

Daniel provided an excellent tour of the festival grounds prior to seating us in the tent at our assigned time. A little chaotic at first but after everyone got settled in we all had a blast! If you haven’t been, be prepared for lots of noise and thousands of people! Go with this tour if you want a good overview of the event and a guaranteed seat at a reserved table.
    Great Tour, Highly Recommended

A Great Way to Experience Oktoberfest
    , Oct 2019
Our tour guide, Don, provided all the information and background we needed to fully understand and enjoy the Oktoberfest experience. There was a carnival type atmosphere on the grounds with something for everyone. In the Hofbrau tent the beer was excellent and cold, the roasted chicken was second to none, and the atmosphere was fun and friendly. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Oktoberfest.

These guys are first rate!! We took this same tour 6 years ago. We booked them again and we actually ended up with the same tour guide, Daniel. He's funny, personable, knowledgeable, and just a nice guy. He had 2 other guides with him to help split up the group and they too seemed very pleasant. If you want to experience Oktoberfest, these guys are your ticket!!

This tour was excellent. The tour guide Daniel was very nice and extremely informative. All in all the tour was fun. Also the reserved seat in the Hofbrau tent was icing on the cake. Thoroughly enjoyed and would strongly recommend.

This tour exceeded all expectations. Easy meetup spot, well organized, with expert guides. Learned a bit about Munich and the history of Oktoberfest from a native that spoke perfect English. Daniel was great, knowledgeable, and very much committed to ensuring the best possible experience. Food and beer at the Hofbrau tent were amazing.
Oktoberfest tour was definitely worth it!

We booked this tour because it can be extremely difficult for non-locals and first-timers like us to get advance reservations in the beer tents for Oktoberfest. The tour was informative, our guide Daniel was great, the food was delicious, and we loved having a guaranteed spot in the very popular, awesome Hoffbrau beer tent. If you want to do Oktoberfest on a weekend or if you are traveling with a group of four or more, this is probably your best way to make sure you get one of those premium beer hall seats. We highly recommend this!

The tour was exactly what it said in the description. Highly recommended for anyone wanting learn about oktoberfest. The reserved table was great.

The tour was very good. Our guides provided historical context and background. I appreciated their oversight and recommend the tour if you can’t reserve seats in a tent. Quick comment: Oktoberfest as crazy crowded and LOUD. We won’t do it again. I can gladly mark it off my bucket list.

Wow what a great day. Radius Tours were very professional and our guide Daniel was excellent and passionate about Oktoberfest. Meet some great people to help celebrate with. Would highly recommend a tour rather than on your own.

Our tour guide was hilarious and very knowledgeable. We were very happy to have reserved seating in the Hofbrau Haus tent. It was very crowded and we were glad that the tour began early before the crowds were too much. The food, music and fun made it a day to remember! The one thing I would suggest is that they give better directions as to where to meet. From the directions, it was not evident that the meeting place was actually INSIDE the train station- not out on the street. We looked for quite awhile before we found the meeting place.

A MUST DO for first timers!!! Get your bearings, understand what to do and not do, listen to your guide and have fun! Our guide was a British bloke, extremely accommodating and friendly. By the time we crawled home, we felt like we would have no problems on our own the rest of the week. A couple hints for first timers, don't go Friday or Saturday evening! It is so crazy packed and you have to be at a table inside a tent to get a beer, and finding an empty seat, especially if you don't speak German, can be extremely difficult and frustratingly sober. Also, there is a drink called the Rattler, which is half beer and half lemonade which is great I love beer ALOT and I enjoyed it which is designed for daytime drinking. It looks just like a large mug of beer but you can drink twice as long and not have to crawl home thank god my wife was safely able to get me back to the apartment!. Remember, Rattler Longer drinking with less head spinning... you are gonna want to stay a while, don't overdo it!, 3rd, don't go pass out in the grass on the hill, everyone throws up there. Have Fun! PROST!

I imagine that this works with the right people. There is zero space at the tables that this tour company reserves. Anyone 6 foot or taller should look for another option great and enthusiastic. But there is no question that you are on the outside of what Oktoberfest is. You feel like a tourist.
