Probably the gorge - it was truly beautiful. The combination of the greenery, the fresh water flowing , the sunshine and the stunning scenery made for a beautiful experience. Also indulging in Slovenian cream cake at the castle cafe while looking down on lake bled -can’t be beaten!

Lake Bled, Vintgar gorge morning tour

We did this tour yesterday with Nature tour. Alenka the driver/ guide knew the region and the history very well and she shared lot of historical information. Our first stop was at Vintgar gorge, beautiful gorge and a walk through was breeze.. we went there first thing in the morning and there was hardly anyone. Difficult part was return to Vintgar gorge entrance. We were parked in P1 parking lot. Return journey was mix, through the town of bled and through the trail. Wasn’t very difficult but had a lot uneven steps going up and it was hike. I wish they had told us about the return journey. If you have mobility issue, I would give second thought about it. After the gorge we were given a choice to go visit the bled castle or boat ride. We had paid for boat ride but it was decided that we’ll go visit the castle. I think we would have been better off taking the boat ride. After the castle we drove around the lake bled and took some pics. Overall great tour but small information like return path from Vintgar gorge will take over an hour would have been better.

We had a fantastic time on our tour to Vintgar Gorge and Lake Bled this past Saturday! Tara, our guide, was so friendly and very knowledgeable of the area which made the tour even better. Both locations are absolutely beautiful and a must see if you are visiting Slovenia. Our only recommendation is to wear comfortable shoes for the hike at Vintgar Gorge. Would highly recommend this tour!

Informative. Guide was born and lives in lake bled municipality. Knew enough to have us to the gorge early to beat the crowd. Because the path through the gorge is narrow, beating the crowd makes a big difference in being able to enjoy this exceptionally scenic spot.

The Vintgar Gorge, the first stop, was spectacular, especially since we got there before the rest of the crowd did. Lake Bled was beautiful, but wish we had a bit more time exploring the little island in the lake. The Cave and the Castles were interesting, but again, I felt rushed. Alenka, the tour guide was not very talkative at first. Some of the other passengers had to ask her to give us more info about the areas we visited, and then, she did so. Would have been nice if she voluntarily did it. But all in all, it was a good tour - we saw a lot and am glad I partook in it.

Our guide Alenka was fantastic. We went out early for a magical walk through the gorge before the crowds arrived. Bled is stunning. Had a great time on the boat ride and island visit. Wished we had brought our swimmers for the 'free time' but climbed a lookout instead to get the postcard perfect photos. And we still had time for cream cake. We would highly recommend any tour Alenka is running. A local who knows her stuff!

As a group of 8 adults, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Lake Bled and the nearby river gorge. Our tour leader Tara, I think was enthusiastic, informative and had a good sense of humour. All the stops were informative and gave a really good overview of salient points of interest. Of particular interest were the gorge walk, the view of Lake Bled and its island, the ferry boat to the island and beautiful location, scenery and local delicacies. Our trip to the castle could be better if there had been an extra 30 minutes to see it better. All in all, a great outing and good value for money.

This is an amazing tour and was definitely a highlight of our 2 week trip to Europe! The tour was offered by Nature Adventures and the tour guide was Mythias sorry if Im spelling it wrong!!. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and led the tour at the pace we could keep up with. The tour started with a beautiful scenic drive to the Vingtar Gorge, it was early in the morning so it was not very busy bring a sweater it gets a bit chilly. We were able to hike the gorge at our pace and stop to take lots of beautiful pictures. This is one of the most beautiful and serene places in the world see my pictures! for yourself!. Afterwards we headed to Bled to see the Famous Lake Bled where we took a wooden pletna boat to the island where sits the Church of the Assumption at the top of 99 steps! The water on Lake Bled is so crystal clear and beautiful and the ambiance was very relaxed. Mythias told us the history of the lake as well as it's legends which were very interesting and he gave us free time to explore the island on our own. Once we returned to land we hiked up to see the castle that overlooks lake Bled, it had an incredible view! To finish the tour we went enjoyed the famous Bled cream cake at the park hotel overlooking the lake and the beautiful Julian Alps! We took this tour on June 3rd 2016 and would definitely recommend the tour, Nature Adventures and the tour guide Mythias. This was a fab half day trip to the Vintgar Gorge and Lake Bled with an excellent guide, Alenka. We were picked up from our hotel and the first stop was Vintgar Gorge where we spent around an hour walking from the waterfall through the gorge, where we met again. We then took the short drive to Bled stopped for a photo opportunity and then took the rowing boat across the lake, to the Island where there was time for a slice or two! of potica cake! After this we went to Bled Castle where we had 40 minutes to look around and take some more photos.

The trip itself was amazing, picked up from hotel in center of Ljubljana and taken on what can only be described as a magical place. Although the weather was not great it did not take anything away from the day. Lake Bled is really worth a visit and if you can spend more time there soaking up the atmosphere and the scenery then do it, well worth it. My only regret is that the trip was over too quickly, needed more time to see the place and to be able to enjoy lunch. Couldn't have lunch because it was too busy and I went at a quiet time of the year. Recommend this to everyone, well organised and wonderful tour.
