Semi Private Cinque Terre and Pisa Leaning Tower Tour from Florence

This is a must do tour. Andries our tour guide was exceptional. He was fun, friendly, organized and extremely knowledgeable. The Mercedes van was clean and comfortable. We used a ferry and train to move between villages once we got to Cinque Terre. We covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of cool sites. I’m glad we took this tour. We are 110% satisfied.

Andy was great. Loved seeing all the villages and stopping to see the Mountain View. Having the freedom to walk around the villages and the help to navigate public transport was very nice.

Our group of four adults (one person in their 40s, one on their 50s, and two in their 60s) did this tour yesterday. Khalid was our driver. We all agree it was a fabulous day and would do it again. Cinque Terre was beautiful and we had just the right amount of time at Pisa. Khalid had cold water for us, and it was nice to be in a small group as opposed to on a big tour bus. Caution: if you have motion sickness at all, take some over the counter meds like Dramamine in advance. If you’ve never been to Florence before, you should know that the streets are narrow, street lanes and stop signs are only suggestions, and there are pedestrians/mopeds/cars/bicycles intermixed. Khaled is a great driver. The roads leading to Cinque Terre are very narrow and winding. Great day, great host, just as described. Definitely wear comfortable walking shoes!

We had an amazing day with our guide and a small group so it was easy to navigate the villages. We didn’t get to take the boat due to weather conditions but our guide did a wonderful job of navigating the trains and made lunch reservations for our party so there was no time wasted waiting to get seated. It was a wonderful day.

Nice guide. Well coordinated and good communicator. Nice that you are left on your own to explore with a clear timetable as to where to meet to move on to next spot. Pisa time was perfectly short ~ just enough to walk about, get the picture and leave. 6 of us in van (one other family) and it was fun to get to know them through the day. Van was clean and comfortable. Driver offered us waters after several stops, which was nice.

This was such a great trip out from Florence! Our guide Emiliano was professional and so knowledgeable about the area. He provided us with an amazing day trip out to Cinque Terre and Pisa (if you want to climb the leaning tower, make sure to book tickets separately!). He even managed to get us a quick stop at the Palazzo Michelangelo for some beautiful pictures overlooking Florence as the sun was coming down. If you're wanting to do some swimming on this trip there were two places where we had the opportunity to do so. In the first village, there was a little bay but it was mostly rocky along the shore. There were free public bathrooms here with stalls that are probably big enough to do a quick swimsuit change. In the second village, there were quite a few people doing some cliff jumping which looked fun. I'm not sure if there were public toilets here though so if you want to go maybe make sure you change in the first village or just wear your suit from the start. We took a boat to the second village, and then a train to the third. Here, your guide will offer the option to call ahead for a table outside under umbrellas for lunch. It's a good option as it can be difficult to find an outdoor table (especially in the shade) without a reservation. Just tell the guide ahead of time if you have any dietary restrictions as the menu option is fixed if you do this. It's a three-course meal featuring local cuisine. They were able to modify it for me as I don't eat seafood. We took the train back to the first village and then the same van we used to drive out from Florence to get to Pisa (the toilets there are 1 Euro per person).

We had a blast with this tour! Andrew was amazing and always looking out for the groups’ needs and wants. Very attentive and very knowledgeable of all of the areas. It is a perfect tour to see both cinque terre and pisa which often are hard to book logistically. We had a perfect amount of time at each place.
