Liz saw the beautiful country landscape while I drove. Haven't had this much fun since I sold my 1966 MGB. We walked amongst the rows of a hillside Tuscany vineyard, ate grapes off the vines, listened to insightful interpretations from our charming hosts Jacopo and Jessica, toured the historical Corsisni winery, enjoyed an exceptional lunch and wine sampling in a cellar like restaurant and purchased a case of delicious Chianti wine. Wow what a day!

This excursion was a highlight of our trip and our guide, Bill, made a huge difference as he was very patient, informative, and fun! We had a caravan of 3 vintage Fiat 500's and he successfully navigated us through Florence to the countryside city of Fiesole. This truly felt like an authentic Tuscan day as we paused above olive groves and vineyards to learn about how olive oil is made, ate a delicious meal in a family owned Trattoria, and visited a small family winery. Just a heads up, you may want to brush up on your stick shift driving skills. Also, the cars are vintage, which made this tour special, however, they do require TLC when shifting. We also drove through some busy areas of Florence for a short time at the beginning and the end of the drive. Our cars attracted a lot of attention with people waving and taking pictures. This whole excursion was a fantastic experience for our family!!
