Piazza dei Cavalleggeri , Piazza dei Cavalleggeri, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy

Meeting point is in front of Biblioteca Nazionale (National Library) in Piazza dei Cavalleggeri. Look for your guide holding a Walkabout sign.

This activity will end right where it started.
Your Vespa tour will begin in central Florence, where you’ll meet your guide and head straight to our garage for a brief safety overview and practice ride before hitting the road. Saddle up on your original Vintage PK Vespa, a classic model no longer produced, and follow your guide through tree-lined avenues until you reach the hills in the countryside.

Admire panoramic views of Florence from the Church of San Miniato al Monte before taking a peek inside. The Romanesque church hosts an array of incredible artwork and is one of the city’s lesser-known gems.

Continue into the Tuscan hills, past poppy fields and vineyards, with plenty of opportunities to pause for photos. As you travel back toward Florence, pull over at Piazzale Michelangelo, where views of the Arno River and the iconic Duomo stretch out before you.

Conclude your adventure with a Tuscan meal on a private terrace, savoring bites of burrata cheese, bruschetta or meat cold cuts with fennel. Sit back, relax and soak up the Italian spirit before heading back to your original departure point.

Amazing, must do!

Kristian and Stefan were amazing guides and I felt comfortable considering I’d never rode a Vespa before. Options available if you decide you aren’t comfortable riding one 🙂

Badly maintained vehicles

Two friendly guides lead the tour through beautiful tuscan landscapes to nice viewpoints and a small snack with a glass of wine. The vehicles are vintage, but not safe for driving anymore. The guides explained the security issues very well, but did not watch the beginner during the "training" session. One of the participants was slightly injured during the experince and they helped out with a dirty and expired medikit. I wonder what will happend in a real emergency. Furthermore the so-called "insurence" excludes almost all relevant scenarios. Conclusion: There are some nice aspects, but it is a dangerous experience at your own risk. Definitively not for beginners.

I'd go again

The route was good. The food was good. The Vespa's were beyond beat up. It was difficult to steer because mine had been wrecked badly before. I understand not wanting inexperienced riders on your bikes but those of us who ride and are licensed would have liked a bike that had brakes and would actually pull a hill.

Frequent breakdowns of the bikes; good views, great food, but more maintenance of the machinery is required

Fun Vespa experience

Very fun Vespa ride even though it was a very hot day. Would suggest the tour operators offer cold water at the garage before the riding begins. We were crazy thirsty by the time we got to the food. Their insurance doesn't cover mistakes you make. And they are serious about not allowing you to ride (understandable) if you don't show sufficient confidence and skill during the very short training since we drove through streets with minimal traffic and up and down inclines. My daughter was not able to handle so she became my passenger. If you can't handle the Vespa, you'll be offered to drive a cool-looking manual transmission Giannini. Some of the Vespas had technical issues, but they we overcome. Overall, recommend. More fun than a jet ski.

The country roads and the views were all highlights of this tour and the beautiful stop for lunch. A great way to see a lot of ground and feel like a local on the vespa :-)

The guides were amazing. Very professional, friendly and kind. They gave us a lesson on how to ride the Vespas and then we practiced in the parking lot. Then we were off to the hills of Tuscany. If you’ve never ridden a Vespa before it’s a little scary but a lot of fun. Lunch was simple but delicious, and we stopped to learn about olive oil and at a church. Amazing views throughout. You have to be comfortable riding a Vespa on thin, hilly, windy roads with traffic, however.

Loved it! I had no prior experience riding a Vespa. But after the training and 5 minutes on it, I became a local on it moving around fast.

SO MUCH FUN- AMAZING SITES

It was an absolutely amazing way to see the Tuscan hillsides. Driving the vintage Vespas was incredibly fun (and easy after the instructions given and brief time to give a test drive before hitting the roads). My 18 year old son and I loved it!! Gabrielle was our guide and he was outstanding. My 80 year old mother rode with me for awhile then felt more comfortable driving in the adorable classic Fiat instead. She had a lovely time as well and really enjoyed the conversation with Gabrielle. We stopped a few times to take in the sites, learn about wine, olive oil and the stunning views. We finished with a lovely meal in the hillside. I can’t say enough about this wonderful tour- it is a MUST DO!!

A perfect half day in Tuscany!

Gabrielle was a fantastic guide! Bring water and sunscreen and wear closed-toed shoes! This can be done with sandals, but I recommend sneakers. Lunch and wine were delicious, just let them know at the beginning if you have any special dietary needs or restrictions. I also highly recommend you practice slowing down the Vespa during your practice ride. It takes a little getting used to if you're not used to riding them.
