Gaucho Day Tour Ranch in San Antonio de Areco from Buenos Aires

The trip was ok at best. There was a LOT of down time and not much to show for it. We stopped by a tiny church and small museum and the guide did not do any guided tour or anything, just dropped us off at these places to walk around. When we made it to the ranch, we sat around some more until we were able to get on the horses. The people who owned the ranch did not let us explore and ride the horses freely, it was just guided by the front and if the horses so much as trotted, they immediately panicked. The show with the gaucho also was... strange. It's quite odd to see a man caress a horse in such a strange way - like a weird intimacy as the gaucho rolled the horse over on its back, mounted it and caressed its legs. It was not expected and left a strange confusion as we left the ranch and headed back to Buenos Aires. All in all, would not do this again and wouldn't recommend it unless you want a rest day to sit around in the sun.

This was one of my best days in argentina. My tour guide Emi (Emiliano) made this experience amazing. He was very knowledgeable from our ride to the ranch and back, and was able to answer all of our questions (and had some good jokes to). As someone who did this experience solo, he provided a very comfortable and friendly environment. I was able to be picked up from my airbnb and dropped off. The activities on the ranch are unforgettable. The gauchos on the ranch were very nice and welcoming, and i learned a lot about their culture. The horse ride was super fun and the food was outstanding. If i were to ever come back to argentina, i would do again.

The setting was gorgeous. The horses were beautiful and healthy. The food was delicious. Our tour guide was amazingly well informed.

It was such an amazing place and so relaxing and peacefull. You just enyou everything. The people are so Nice and vellignende and the Good was so Good. I Would recommand this trip

From the fun horse ride and the alfresco lunch on the lawn, to the guitar playing, dancing and the demonstration on taming a horse, this experience made for an awesome and memorable day!

What an incredible day! It started off being picked up at our AirBnB. And hour long ride in a comfortable van. Our guide was so much fun and she gave us a history lesson of the area along the way. You make a short stop in town and then off to the ranch. We were greeted by several of the ranch hands and fed a wonderful snack of empanadas. Then off on a horse ride through the fields. When we returned we were greeted with the wonderful smell of cooking meats. After lunch we were treated to a local dance and music show. This was a highlight of our Argentinian adventure!

Great tour and guide. Hernan is extremely knowledgeable about his country’s history and why is the Rio Plato brown (my question :) ). Excellent drivers as well. The estancia was relaxing, the food and wine was excellent, and the carriage ride was fun and educational.
