Climb aboard our vintage Portuguese 4x4s and tackle the best of the Sintra. You’ll explore the mysterious Quinta da Regaleira and eat a traditional Portuguese lunch (with wine, of course) before cruising off-road through Sintra’s lush forests, to emerge at the seaside cliffs of mainland Europe’s westernmost point, Cabo da Roca. Passing from hilltop castles to the sheer coastline of the UNESCO world heritage landscape. We take you to secret lookouts and hidden beaches. In summer, feel the breeze whip through your hair as we bounce along off-road tracks with the roof off. In the cooler months we keep the roof on, turn the music up, splash through puddles of mud as we swerve past house-sized boulders, pine forests and giant ferns. This is why we love to go off-road, play epic tunes all day long and give you the chance to taste Sintra’s traditional sweet “travesseiro” pastry and homemade “ginja” liqueur. We’ll start the day with a visit to the magical Pena Palace, the red-and-yellow Disney-like castle that sits atop Sintra’s second highest peak. Next stop, lunch at a traditional restaurant in a small village. Think fresh fish or tasty meat on the fire grill and plenty of wine! After lunch we visit the 12th century Peninha Sanctuary, built 500m above sea level. From here you’ll take in 360-degree views of the forest, the Ocean, Lisbon, Sintra and Cascais, on a hike through one of the most mystical forests in the world. We finish with a visit to the hill top megalithic structure that is essentially Portugal’s Stonehenge. As we cruise around in one of our convertible jeeps we will take you off-road to epic lookouts and secret spots other visitors can’t reach. Other things to note: Palace ticket and lunch are not included. At Pena we won't visit the staterooms, only the external areas. Depending on the season the waiting times can affect or compromise parts of the rest of the experience.

This tour is only for 4 to 6 people and the price is per car. We will drive you around Sintra in a jipe (4x4) or a mini van for 6 people. Palace tickets are not included on the price. This is a full day tour, and there is a lot to see so we only recomend you to visit 2 palaces inside (we recomend Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira) but if you only want to visit 1 or also only a sight seeing tour aroud the places, it also possible. The palaces that you are not going inside we will stop at a view point for you to see the places and take your pictures. This tour is nice for groups and also families. VERY IMPORTANT: The weather in Sintra always changes a lot. Even in summer time we can have foggy days. In cloudy foggy days we cannot assure that is possble to see Pena Palace and Mourish castle from the view point, so we recommend to go inside pena Palace during foggy days.

We will drive you to the top of the mountain where you have Pena Palace and also Moorish Castle. We will explain you the official history about the monuments. Then when you finish your visit we will be back there to pick you up and drive you to the city center or train station, as you prefer. You can visit just on of the places or both monuments. If are 2-3 persons: we will drive you in a convertible car. More than 3 people: we have a 4x4 available for you
